Compliance & Operations Administrator

Bourse Trust Company Limited provides private wealth services covering family office, trusts, employee benefit trusts, foundations and company management.  We also provide individual and company pension administration services.

We are currently looking for a Compliance & Operations Administrator to join the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible is responsible for helping ensure the company meets its regulator obligations and operates efficiently. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in compliance and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

Customer Due Diligence

  • Perform comprehensive CDD and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks on new and existing clients, including individuals, companies, trusts, and other structures.

  • Review and assess client documentation in line with Guernsey AML/CFT regulations, GFSC rules, and internal policies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CDD records in internal systems (CDD Library) and databases.

  • Escalate high-risk matters or concerns to the Compliance Officer or MLRO as appropriate.

  • Liaise with client relationship teams to obtain required client documentation and resolve CDD queries.

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of CDD procedures and checklists.

  • Support compliance reporting and audit preparation as needed.

Compliance Support

  •  Assist the Compliance Manager & MLRO and the Compliance Officer & MLCO as required with report generation, project work, updating Sensitive Jurisdictions List etc

  • Support the ongoing development and review of internal compliance policies and procedures.

Client Data

  • Assist with ensuring data held in the client database is accurate, up to date and relevant.

  • Update records when requested.

New Client onboarding and Entity Closures

  • Assist with the take on and closure process

Document Retention and Destruction

  • Manage the process of document destruction ensuring relevant authority is documented and systems updated.

 Office support

  • Provide cover for reception and incoming and outgoing post/couriers in absence of the Operations Assistant.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Experience and qualifications

Experience:

  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience in CDD, compliance or an onboarding role in a fiduciary or financial services organisation

Professional Qualifications:

  • Ideally, the be working towards professional qualifications such as ICA or a willingness to study.

Personal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to work in a methodical manner precisely following set procedures and processes

  • Good communication skills in order to explain regulatory requirements clearly and professionally

  • Good IT literacy, preferably including previous experience of document management systems and client databases (Laserfiche and 5-Series experience would be ideal).
